Accessibility statement
This site should work for everyone, on any device, with a keyboard, a screen reader or a touch screen.

Our standard
raktimranjit.com aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is a self-assessment, not a third-party audit.
What is in place
- Semantic HTML with headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
- Full keyboard operation, with visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- Light and dark themes with text contrast checked against AA.
- Pages that reflow on small screens and when text is enlarged, with no horizontal scrolling.
- Server-rendered pages, so content is available before any script runs.
Motion
The home page opens with a full-screen Kolkata scene that replays the sky from sunrise or sunset up to the current time. If your device is set to “reduce motion”, the replay is skipped and the scene shows the current sky without animation. The scene is decorative; the time and weather are also available as text.
Known limits
- The home-page scene is an illustration. Sun and moon positions are astronomical, but the artwork itself is generated.
- Some older articles and project screenshots may have short image descriptions that can be improved.
- Books are offered as PDF and as an online reader. PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers; the online reader is the accessible option.
- Linked third-party sites have their own accessibility.
